Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on Wednesday 12th September, 2007 at 7.30pm in the Belle Friday Centre, London Road, Lynsted.
1.Members present:
Councillors: R. Baxter (Chairman), H.F. Champion, A. Dawes, Y. Bowling.
2.Apologies for absence.
Apologies for absence were received from Cllr. T. English.
3.Minute Taker.
In the absence of a clerk Cllr. Dawes agreed to take the minutes.
4.Time set aside for members of the public to address the Committee.
There were no members of the public present.
5.Declarations of interest.
Cllr. Baxter declared an interest in item 9.
6.To confirm the Minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 4th September, 2007.
Proposed Cllr. Bowling that the minutes be confirmed, seconded, Cllr. Dawes, it was unanimously agreed. The Chairman to sign the minutes.
7.Matters arising.
There were no matters arising.
8.To consider the following planning application:
SW/07/ 0991. Addition of 2 dormer windows, Moonshine Cottage, Kingsdown Road, Lynsted.
Proposed Cllr. Bowling that there where no objections to the application, seconded Cllr. Champion and unanimously agreed.
9.To consider the Appeal (APP/V2255/C/07/2051962 and APP/V2255/C/07/2051964) against an Enforcement Notice, ‘Ashley’, Cellar Hill, Lynsted.
At this point Cllr. Baxter left the room and Cllr. Champion took the chair.
Proposed Cllr. Bowling that we support Swale Borough Council’s enforcement notice and oppose the appeal. The following letter should be sent.
We support the enforcement notice issued by Swale Borough Council. We agree with their numbered reasons for issuing the notice.
We are in full agreement with Swale Borough Council and believe there are no grounds for appeal.
Seconded Cllr. Champion and unanimously agreed.
At this point Cllr. Baxter returned to the room and resumed as Chairman.
10.Determinations by Swale Borough Council
There were no determinations.
11.Other Planning business.
There was no other business
The meeting closed at 7.50pm.
