Minutes of the Planning Committee held on Tuesday 13th May, 2008, at the Belle Friday Centre, London Road, Lynsted, at 7.00pm.
Members present:
Cllr.R Baxter (Chairman), Cllrs A Dawes, F Champion, and T English.
Clerk to the Parish Council: C Bennett
1. Apologies for absence. Apologies received from Cllr.J Disney SBC business.
2. Time set aside for members of the public to address the Committee. No members of the public present.
3. Declarations of interest. There were none.
4. To confirm the minutes of the Planning Committee minutes of 21st April 2008.
Paragraph 8, Clerk confirmed a no objection had been submitted to SBC Planning Department.
Cllr.Champion proposed that the minutes be signed as a correct record; this was seconded by Cllr.English, and unanimously agreed.
5. Matters arising from those minute. None.
6. To consider planning application: SW / 08 / 0457 Formation of room in the roof space of garage with velux windows in rear roof slope.17 St Pauls Court. Lynsted.
This is not a listed building, and is outside conservation area.
Proposal: To object on the grounds of velux windows. In that they are out of keeping with the estate, and would set an unfortunate precedent.Proposed by Cllr.Champion,and seconded by Cllr.Dawes, and passed by majority.
7. To note Swale Borough Council’s planning determinations:
SW/08/0241 Dropped Kerb etc. Adj.Dungate Barn Rodmersham. Refused
SW/08/0214 Externally illuminated sign. Co op Foodstore Teynham. Approved.
8. Other planning business, for information only.
Clerk informed on the following:
8.1 SW/07/0923 Outline application for the construction of two permanent dwellings to replace two residential caravans. Appeal by Mr & Mrs T Hewitt.Parish Council previously did not wish to object. Noted.
8.2. SW/08/0382 Replacement of two fireplaces,back door, provision of missing balustrading,new stud wall, replace covering to coal suite, installation of shower and provision of new door. 74 London Road Teynham,ME9 9QN. Correct location Lynsted, Clerk to request full planning application.
There being no other business the Chairman closed the meeting at 7.40 pm.
