  • Members of public: Mr N Anderson, Mr B Broughton

1  Apologies

Apologies were received from the following who were unable to attend:

  • Mrs L Attwood (Clerk) – due to conflicting engagement.   Cllr Barrett agreed to take the minutes in Mrs Attwood’s absence.
  • Cllr Jones apologies were received by the Clerk.

2  Public Speaking

Mr N Anderson made a brief statement in support of his planning application.

3  Declarations of Interest

The Chairman asked if any Councillors wished to declare an interest on any items on the Agenda. No one wished to make a declaration. The Chairman had spoken to members of the public and the applicant in relation to the planning application under item 6 but felt that, in doing so, was only acting in accordance with his role as Chairman of the Parish Council and it was not felt he needed to declare an interest.

4  Minutes of the Previous Meeting held on 28 February 2007

It was agreed that Item 6.4, no 3 should read “Corner windows, windows in the apex of the gables ….”

It was agreed that the minutes were a true record of the meeting and could be endorsed by the Chairman.  This was proposed by Cllr Baxter, seconded by Cllr Champion and unanimously agreed.

5  Matters Arising from the Previous Meeting held on 13th February 2007

The Clerk had still not received a response about the outstanding issues at Four Acres, Toll House and St Peter’s Place.  Millwood Homes had still not responded about car parking at St Paul’s Court.

6  Planning Applications

The following planning application had been received.

  • SW/07/07177 Access road to Kingsdown Farm, Kingsdown
The Parish Council had no objection to the proposed scheme. This was proposed by Cllr Champion, seconded by Cllr Bowling and unanimously agreed.  The Clerk would be asked to write to Swale Borough Council with the Council’s decision.

7  SBC Planning Decisions Received

No planning decisions had been received since the meeting of 28th February.

8  Any Other Business

It was reported that there was a new planning application for the Fox on London Road.  The Parish Council should have the opportunity to comment on these plans because the site adjoins the parish.

The Clerk would be asked to contact Swale Borough Council to obtain a copy of the planning application.

The meeting closed at 7.25 pm.
