Matters arising
Swale Borough Council had indicated that if we would like a particular name for any new build/development this request should come from the developer and the Parish Council ought to write to them.
This was contrary to the outcome of a Faversham Area committee meeting of the 28th October 2004 when it was unanimously agreed that the name St Pauls Court be used for the new development within Lynsted. Cllr English agreed to investigate this matter.
Felling of the birch tree at Cellar Hill. Cllr Baxter had had a response from Mr Hegley, Tree Officer with Swale Borough Council. He advised that, if a tree in a Conservation Area is felled without permission from the local planning authority, an offence has been committed and the person responsible could be liable to a fine of up to £20,000. Mr Hegley had not yet inspected the site or made his assessment. The Local plan submissions had been made. The submissions were on the latest draft and rendered previous submissions on an earlier draft redundant. These were therefore withdrawn with the newer comments remaining.
