Lynsted with Kingsdown Parish Council.
The Minutes of an Extra Ordinary Meeting of the Parish Council, called by the Chairman, Cllr. Baxter held on 6th. June 2007 in the Community Room of St. Peter and St.Paul’s Church, Lynsted.
Members Present. Councillors, Y. Bowling, A. Darling. A. Dawes, R.Baxter, H.F.Champion, J. Disney, T.M.English.and M. Jones.
1. Minute Taker. In the absence of the Clerk it was agreed that Cllr. English would record the details.
2. Apologies for Absence. There were no apologies for absence.
3. Declaration of Interest. There were no declarations of interest made on the published agenda.
4. To consider the Clerk’s letter of resignation. The Chairman read the letter of resignation from Liz Attwood in it she indicated her willingness to continue at least until the August meeting. Following discussion, it was proposed Cllr. Champion that we reluctantly accept the resignation and pay tribute to her work for the Council. Seconded Cllr. Disney and unanimously agreed. Further discussion was held on the general situation, including that of previous applicants, although no decision was reached .
5. Delegated Powers. Proposed Cllr Disney, that delegated powers be afforded to the Standards Committee in this instance to consider all aspects of appointing a new Clerk on behalf of the Council, seconded Cllr. Champion and unanimously agreed.
6. To appoint an Interviewing Panel. As Chairman, Cllr. Baxter proposed, that the interviewing panel should consist of The Chairman, Vice Chairman and Cllr. Darling, this was agreed.
7. Any Other Business for Information Only. The Chairman distributed copies of The Code of Conduct (guide for members May 2007 ) and a Pocket Guide issued by the Standards Board for England.
Cllr. Champion reported a light out in Cellar Hill, he would contact the Clerk to check that it had been reported to Edf..
There being no further business the Chairman closed the meeting at 7.45pm.
