In May 2004 we reported our application for a substantial grant to help develop a traditional orchard close to the centre of Lynsted village as a community space. That grant was approved.
Norton with Lynsted Primary School pupils visited the Orchard to draw under the guidance of local artist, Will Glanfield, on 5th October. This is the start of a longer-term project that we will be reporting on as it unfolds. More .... The Parish Council Orchard Group supported a competition to name the sculptured seat in the orchard.
For Hallowe’en, the Orchard was opened to families from surrounding Parishes for a bonfire, dressing up, and story-telling. Some pictures are included from 2004 - 2005 - and 2006
Following a talk arranged by the Lynsted with Kingsdown Society, the Parish Council Orchard Group is looking for volunteers to support a survey of our bats.
