Kentcarshare scheme

Kent County Council is keen to promote energy efficient transport. The Kentcarshare scheme is a simple, secure, free internet-based service.  It enables you to register your car journey on-line -  and find others to share the costs. The outcome is that you and your passengers reduce fuel consumption, congestion and pollution emissions.  Car sharing can be used for daily work runs, weekly shopping trips or even occasional social events.

The scheme has been running for a year and currently has 1,700 registered users across the county.  New users are automatically entered into a prize draw to win one year of free car tax.
