Partners and Communities Together  (PACT)

A successful PACT meeting was held on  28th February, in Teynham, at which various community concerns in the locality were raised.  It was  an open, ‘workshop’, type gathering where residents highlighted matters of current concern such as litter, speeding vehicles, unlawful parking and antisocial behaviour. Representatives from a range of community authorities ( police, community safety, enforcement, parking, etc.)  were there to respond to the issues raised, or undertake to come up with possible answers. Lynsted with Kingsdown and Teynham Parish Council chairmen were present.

The next , follow-up, PACT meeting will be held on Thursday 1st May at the Community Hall, Station Road, Teynham, starting at 7.30pm. Issues affecting Teynham and Lynsted/Kingsdown areas will receive attention.  Concerned (and happy, for that matter) residents are cordially welcome to attend PACT meetings, listen to what is said, and voice their views if they wish.

PACT is the new police initiative to promote ‘community engagement’ and consequently an improved quality of life for all.  For more information about PACT,  contact the Police on: 477 055.
